We don't currently have any specific settings to vary these settings for different days of the week, though this is likely something we'll look into as we further develop things. That said, with a bit of customizing using new meals in conjunction with recurring foods, you can set up a variety of unique meal plan options to better tailor the plans to your eating habits.
Creating new meals:
In your Meal Layout, you can use the Add Meal option and then select Create New Meal on the following window. If you toggle off the "Same schedule each day" option, you'll be able to add this into your layout on specific days of the week as needed.
Common Uses
- Does your family have any weekly meal staples that you have every week? Create a new Pizza Friday or Taco Tuesday meal type to add into your meal layout for those days.
- Want to limit your weekly meat intake? Set your Primary Diet to Vegetarian and create a new Meat Dinner meal to swap out for your dinner a few times a week.
- Have more time for larger, more complex breakfasts on the weekends? Create a new Weekend Breakfast meal to add into your layout on Saturday and Sunday.
- Do you prepare dinner for additional family members only a few times a week? Create a new Family Dinner meal to add to those days of the week.

Customizing your new meals:
When you create new meal types, you can set unique Meal Settings for these that will apply only to those meals as placed in your Meal Layout. Let's continue with the same common use examples from above:
Common Uses
- Use the recurring foods to set up your favorite pizza/taco recipe(s) to recur for these new Pizza Friday and Taco Tuesday meals. You can either set up a variety of your favorite recipes to recur often, or one single staple recipe to recur always for this meal. If you turn on the "only use recurring" option, you can be sure only those options will be used when this meal is generated.
- Use the recurring foods to set up your favorite meat dishes to recur often for these new Meat Dinner meals. If you turn on the "only use recurring" option, you can be sure only those options will be used when this meal is generated. This way, even if your Primary Diet is set to Vegetarian, these recurring foods will override this and generate meat only for this meal.
- Use the meal settings to set up more available time, higher complexity, etc. for your new Weekend Breakfast meal, and/or use the recurring foods to set up your family's favorite breakfasts.
- Use the meal settings to increase the number of people your new Family Dinner is generated for, and use the recurring foods to set up your family's favorite meals.
